When urgent issues arise (including birthing difficulties), we provide on-property emergency veterinary support during business hours.

Subject to availability, Maleny Vet Services also provides an after-hours on-call service primarily for our regular clients, but our rostered vet may also be available to see other animals in the district depending on their case load on any given night. Attendance for non-regular clients is at the discretion of the attending veterinarian.

At a minimum, an annual wellness check is beneficial but many owners choose seasonal or biannual reviews, especially during high-risk periods like lambing/kidding or weaning.

Yes. Many of our services, including routine care, injuries, birthing support and emergencies, can be provided on-farm – just give us a call to schedule. We do also have ample room to treat small ruminants at the practice, if convenient.
Absolutely. We can assess parasite loads, recommend targeted treatments and help build a control strategy that suits your property and goals.
If you suspect an emergency, call us right away. Follow our recorded prompts to reach our emergency service – we’re here to help when you need us.

Signs can include overgrown hoof walls, difficulty walking, limping or uneven wear. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to assess and advise.
