Parasite management and worm control
Internal parasites are one of the most common health issues affecting alpacas, sheep and goats in our region. Effective parasite control involves more than just regular drenching.
We can assist with faecal egg count testing, parasite monitoring and developing a sustainable worm control program for your herd or flock. This approach helps reduce the risk of drench resistance and ensures treatments remain effective in the long-term.
Illness diagnosis and treatment
- Diagnostic testing (blood, faecal and more)
- Treatment of disease and injury
- Wound care and chronic disease management
Emergency after-hours care
When urgent issues arise (including birthing difficulties), we provide on-property emergency veterinary support during business hours.
Subject to availability, Maleny Vet Services also provides an after-hours on-call service primarily for our regular clients, but our rostered vet may also be available to see other animals in the district depending on their case load on any given night. Attendance for non-regular clients is at the discretion of the attending veterinarian.
If you have an animal that requires urgent care, please see our Emergency Care page.
