The team at Maleny Vet Services are so excited to offer dog grooming! No matter what breed your dog is, they need regular grooming to look, feel and smell their best. In addition to brushing and combing at home, professional grooming keeps your dog’s skin and coat healthy.
Appointments are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, in morning or afternoon sessions. Morning session: 8:30-9:00am admission with 12:00-12.30pm discharge. Afternoon session: 1:00-1:30pm admission with 4:30-5:00pm discharge. Our regular hydrobath service will remain available on other days. Please note, the size of your pet will determine the final price.

Frequently Asked Questions
We suggest dogs with slightly longer coats to be groomed every 6-8 weeks to ensure their hair does not get matted and is not harbouring insects or hiding skin conditions.
Depending on the severity of the matting, we will always choose comfort over vanity. Brushing out matts can be painful, especially if your dog is not accustomed to regular brushing/combing at home. We will always assess your dog’s coat on arrival and suggest the best solution.
The grooming process usually takes 1-3 hours. Depending on your dog’s coat condition and temperament we will advise you on a rough time frame of when your dog will be finished and will contact you as soon as they are ready.
We always urge customers to rebook appointments on the day and then we will send you a reminder the day prior. Ultimately, it is your responsibility to keep track of when your next appointment is.
Unfortunately no. Dogs are calmer and better behaved for grooming when the owner is not present. When the owner is present, the dog is so focused on the owner that it disrupts the grooming process.
If fleas are found on your dog we will wash them in our flea shampoo for an extra charge of $10.00 to minimise the spread to other dogs. We will also have to keep them separated until they are picked up.
Puppies can visit for their first groom once they’re fully vaccinated (usually around 16 weeks old). It is important to groom them as soon as possible so they get used to the grooming process. We generally suggest a wash and tidy for their first visit. Full clips are not recommended until they are 6 months old.
